Description
The goal of the subject is to master certain operations research methods and thereby enable the modeling of real problems and finding their optimal solutions. Students are trained to use software for modeling, problems, and thus come to a solution faster, easier to simulate different conditions and monitor their impact on the solution. Students are trained to model the real practical problems using certain methods of operations research, and software to solve them.
Theoretical and practical study:
Models and methods of operations research. Mathematical models and methods for their development. Optimization and mathematical programming. Linear Programming. Graphical method. Simplex method. Transport problem. Nonlinear Programming. Dynamic Programming. Parametric programming. Quadratic programming. Simulation modeling. Heuristic programming. Inventory management. Modeling of real problems by applying operations research methods, and the use of certain software (Mathcad, Excel, LINDO, etc.) simulation of different conditions, the analysis and evaluation of solutions.
