Description
The course objective is to introduce students to the concept of Pollution registry and its application for environmental protection purpose. Students should use acquired knowledge in further education, in professional courses above all. Mastering this course is the starting point in the courses which have the objective to solve existing problems in the field of environmental protection.

Lectures: Importance of pollution registry. Connection of planning, management and decision making with data contained in pollution release registry. Historical review of methodologies used for pollution registry making. Serbian legislation, EU directives and other recommendations relevant for pollution release registry. Sources and pollution types. Natural and anthropogenic pollution. Point and non-point sources of pollution. General data on operators and its activity, waste waters, waste gases, solid waste, hazardous waste. UN and Basel convention classification of waste
Exercises: During lectures, adequate examples related to the knowledge from the lectures are elaborated with active participation of students.
