Description
Theoretical classes:
Introduction – basic terms, models of processes and data models, databases, computer networks, Internet. Lifecycle of information system development, basic terms, phases and activities. Models of life cycle according to actual ISO/ANSI standards. Methods of functional decomposition – structural system analysis, modeling of processes, data flow diagrams, data dictionary. Database creation for business decisions – terms of queries, database structure, queries creation, user interface, setting queries in distributed systems and decision support systems. Specific modules of an enterprise information system.
Practical classes:
Students should practice techniques and methods of using information systems in examples of business systems.
